Meetings are held on the third Tuesday in the Morgan Barn (on the Fairgrounds)
Association Meetings start at       7:00 p.m.
Board Meetings start at 8:00 p.m.

General Rules

 

Requirements For Entries:

All entries must be free of damaged foliage.

There must be no visible spray residue.

The flowers must not be past peak.

All plants must be free of insects.

All specimens must be in clean containers.

Entries are not limited to Ledyard residents.

Exhibitors may enter any number of specimens as long as they are of different species.

Only a single of each species shall be allowed unless otherwise stated.

All specimens must be grown by exhibitor.

Exhibitors must identify their own specimens.

Containers for flowers in specimens and arrangement classes shall be brought by the exhibitor.

The Fair is not responsible for containers or materials.

 Exhibits will be accepted Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Judges' decisions are final.

Entries must remain on display until  5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

All exhibitors with two or more entries are eligible to compete for Sweepstakes prizes. The number of Blue Ribbons earned by an exhibitor will determine the Sweepstakes placing in each age group. In case of a tie, the number of Red Ribbons will determine the winning places. Each Sweepstakes winner receives a rosette as well as the following cash prize:

Intermediate Sweepstakes(Ages 12-17) $20.00 $15.00 $10.00
Junior Sweepstakes(Ages 5-10) $15.00 $10.00 $5.00

"Best in Show" Rosette and $25.00 will be awarded.

In Addition a "Best in Show Specimen Flower" Rosette and $25.00 will be awarded.
