Rules Classes

General Rules

Entries will be accepted Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Awards and exhibits must be picked between 5:00 and  6:00 p.m. Sunday.

Competitions are open to individual Adult (age 18 and above), Intermediate (age 12 through 17), and Junior (age 5 through 11) exhibitors. No 'group' exhibitors. Each exhibitor is allowed one entry in each listed class. All entries must have been home grown by the exhibitor.  Limited adult assistance may be given to Junior exhibitors.

The Variety name for each entry in the Vegetable, Fruit, and Novelty Classes shall be provided upon registration.

All Farm exhibits must be made up from specimens other than those entered in the Vegetable, Fruit, and Novelty classes. They will be judged equally on the basis of Artistic Arrangement, Quality of Fruits/Vegetables Used and Originality of Display.

All Fruit and Vegetable Class entries must be composed of the number of specimens noted beside each class. They will be judged on the basis of uniform color, size and shape of individual specimens, freedom from flaws and insect damage, maturity, appropriate size, etc.

All Novelty Class entries must be composed of a single specimen. Those specimens entered in the Vegetable and Fruit Classes and Farm Exhibit may not be entered as Novelty entries. They will be judged on the basis noted beside each class. The exhibitor must provide the judged dimension information (height, weight, etc.) and the judges may confirm any measurements. There will be only one winner in each Novelty Class ( No Adult, Intermediate or Junior Categories for Novelties).  Fruit, Vegetable and Farm Class entries should be in prime market condition and be insect and disease free.  Blue, Red, and White Ribbons will be awarded to any Fruit, Vegetable, and Farm Class entry which is deserving. A single Blue Ribbon will be awarded in each Novelty Class.

All exhibitors with two or more entries are eligible to compete for Sweepstakes prizes. The number of Blue Ribbons earned by an exhibitor will determine the Sweepstakes placing in each age group.
