Association Meetings start at       7:00 p.m.

Guidelines For Submission of Items To Handiwork Exhibit

Items will be accepted on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at the Ledyard Congregational Church. Items must remain on display at the Fairgrounds until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

General Information

All items submitted will be reviewed by the judges for adherence to stated rules. An item will be disqualified by judges if rules are not met.

All items submitted must have been made in the previous 12 months. Items exhibited in previous years cannot be exhibited again. No soiled articles accepted.

Liquid Embroidery and Glued Appliqué will not accepted for judging at this exhibit.

All classes open to Adult (age 18 and above), Intermediate (age 12 thru 17) and Junior (age 5 thru 11).

No more than one entry per class accepted. A pair will be considered as one item.

Exhibitors will make final judgment as to which items they want to enter.

Exhibitors will make decision regarding class entry prior to submission of article for exhibition.

No Identification whatsoever is permitted on any article submitted. Initials/name may be covered with tape.

Exhibitors will be monitored during fair hours; however, exhibitors are reminded that they enter their handiwork at their own risk.

Exhibitors will place all hanging items in plastic bags.

Exhibitors will be given a receipt (ticket) for their handiwork when these items are submitted. These tickets must be presented when items are picked up.

Judging and Awards

Item will be judged on the basis of design, quality of work, distinction, coordination of item of fabric, color, texture, and utility of item. Each item will be judged on its own merit.

 The decision of the judges is final.

Sweepstakes prize money will be awarded as outlined in the Sweepstakes Rules #4 as outlined under General Rules and Regulations.
