CATTLE SHOW RULES

  1. Cattle must be on fair grounds by 10:00 p.m., Friday night, unless pre-approved by the superintendent.
  2. Animals must remain on fair grounds until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, unless pre-approved by the superintendent. No vehicles allowed on grounds until 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
  3. All state and inter-state health regulations will be strictly enforced. Rabies shots must have been received at least 30 days prior to show.
  4. Certificates of registered animals must be available upon request.
  5. Cattle must enter by the back Gate #4. No trailers or vehicles are allowed to remain near the barn!
  6. Only those people directly involved with the ownership and exhibition of cattle on the grounds will be allowed to remain overnight.   A CAMPING APPLICATION IS REQUIRED
  7. Bedding is not provided.
  8. Ledyard Fair is an alcohol-free fair. Violators will be asked to leave the fair grounds for the duration of the fair.

The superintendent reserves the right to change show set-up as deemed necessary.

Livestock and Rabbit Registration

  • A copy of this form will be emailed to you.
  • I have read and agree to abide by the general rules, CT Department of Agricultural Fair and Show Requirements, IAFE By-Laws, IAFE Code of Ethics and the IAFE Show Ring Code of Ethics. I also understand that I will not eat in the barn and I will park in the designated parking locations. For Safety and protections you must clean up after your animal.
    2 Age Groups : 5-10 and 11-18 $10 award each category. Please Check if you will or will not be making a display
  • 4-H clubs and farms are encouraged to decorate their exhibit, keep their area clean and provide the knowledge to the community. $25 awards will be provided for each category and the categories will be:
  • Saturday at 7pm there will be a Pot Luck Dinner for all poultry, livestock and rabbit exhibitors. We are requesting each family to bring either a main dish, fruit, vegetables, or dessert to the dinner. Please enter exhibitors name.
